Honda CR-V and Ford Escape Lead November Compact Crossover Sales

/strong>The Honda CR-V climbed to the top of the compact crossover segment in November, with 22,333 units sold. The Ford Escape was in second with 20,970 units and rounding off the top-three spots is the Chevrolet Equinox with 16,821 crossovers going home to customers.

While there was a pretty sizable gap separating the crossovers in the top-three spots, the battle for fourth and fifth was much tighter. The Nissan Rogue ended November with 12,662 units sold, just 239 more than the Toyota RAV4. As we recently reported from last week’s 2012 L.A. Auto Show, the 2013 Toyota RAV4 is just around the corner and will likely move up the chart. The current model is the most dated in the segment, having debuted back in 2006. The GMC Terrain and Subaru Forester took the sixth and seventh spot with 8158 and 5703 units sold respectively.
