New Infiniti QX56 Will Debut at 2010 New York Auto Show

Although you may not see the rumored “G25” appearing at the 2010 New York auto show, Infiniti confirmed it would reveal the next-generation QX56 in the Big Apple.

As we reported earlier this year, Nissan will produce the next QX56 in Japan, moving production away from the Canton, Mississippi, plant responsible for the Infiniti-branded SUV, its Armada sibling, and the Quest minivan. The Canton factory will turn its focus to Nissan’s upcoming NV-Series work vehicles.

Thus far, Infiniti (and parent Nissan) has skipped every major auto show in the U.S. and will not be attending the rapidly approaching event at Chicago. In a press release, Nissan stresses the importance of the New York auto show, claiming it offers the strongest designated market area. At previous N.Y. shows, Nissan launched the Altima and Maxima sedans.
