New 2013 Ford Fusion Commercials Work Comments into Clever Songs

Ford is especially proud of what people are saying about the 2013 Ford Fusion – so much so that it’s hired musician Reggie Watts to transpose those comments into song for a new ad campaign.

The video series, called “Fusion Remix,” has Watts pulling comments from various sources – including our own editor-in-chief Jean Jennings – and composing an impromptu song around them. In addition to being a competent singer, Watts is an adept beat-boxer who can record and play back his beats live. The songs blend musical genres, with the artist switching styles (sometimes mid-song) from hip-hop to classic rock to cheesy lounge singer to Latin jazz. The comments incorporated into the songs cover a wide range of Fusion-related topics, including the midsize sedan’s affordability, futuristic looks, and lack of a V-6 option.

Watch the videos below to see all the remixed comments on the 2013 Ford Fusion, along with Watts’ so-bad-it’s-good sweater.
