SEMA is always a big deal for Mopar, Chrysler’s aftermarket arm, and this year looks to be no different. Chrysler has shared five teaser images of its more than 20 Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Fiat, and SRT concepts ahead of their SEMA show debuts.
The first Mopar-modified teaser image depicts what appears to be a Fiat 500 Turbo, based on the little snout unique to the turbocharged 500 Turbo and 500 Abarth, and the lack of Scorpion badges. The teaser shows an asymmetrical vented hood, a massively widened track, and is hiding its driver-side mirror. The Mopar 500 Turbo concept also looks like it’s sporting a vintage-style wooden roof-mounted cargo basket.
On the opposite end of the spectrum we have a Mopar-built 2013 Ram 1500, complete with a Hemi V-8 under the hood. The Ram 1500 Mopar concept sports the same black and off-center blue stripe paint job as the 2011 Mopar Dodge Charger. Based on the paint and Challenger-styled hood, we suspect a street performance oriented Mopar Ram 1500 is coming to this year’s SEMA show.
Also making an appearance in the Chrysler booth at this year’s SEMA show will be a Mopar-ized Dodge Charger. We can’t tell much from the teaser image, other than that this Charger will be very, very orange, and have a hood scoop and black wheels.
Not surprisingly, Mopar will be showing off a modified Jeep Wrangler at this year’s show. Probably one of many Wrangler concepts, this teased image shows off a lifted Wrangler rolling on big off-road tires, with a black front fascia, a bull bar, and a Warn winch.
The most exciting SEMA concept by far is the Mopar-modified Dodge Dart. This white Dart has what may be a carbon fiber hood complete with what we hope is a functional hood scoop, a carbon fiber front splitter, and a tow hook. Though we’re not getting our hopes up, this could be our first preview of the long-rumored Dodge Dart SRT4.
Expect more teasers of Chrysler’s SEMA concepts leading up to the October 30th show.
