Mercedes-Benz announced yesterday a new special edition model for the U.K. in partnership with luxury menswear brand Spencer Hart. The model will be based on the 2013 CLS63 AMG Shooting Break, a variation on the CLS that is not sold in the U.S. The car was unveiled as the finale to the Spencer Hart London Collections: Men fashion show.
Nick Hart — Creative Director of Spencer Hart — styled the special-edition CLS, which receives unique modifications to highlight the AMG Performance Studio’s bespoke options like the signature “Nick Hart Midnight Blue” exterior color. The interior receives a host of detail changes inspired by “The Vault,” a personal shopping area at Spencer Hart’s flagship Brook Street store in London, including walnut paneling, Chocolate Brown Italian leather seats with contrasting Midnight Blue Stitching, embroidered Spencer Hart logos in each headrest, and Nick Hart’s signature on the center console.
Pricing for the Spencer Hart model is not yet available, but the standard CLS63 AMG Shooting Break starts at £83,080 ($130,502) in the U.K. The CLS Shooting Break was first shown as the Concept Shooting Break at the 2010 Auto China Beijing Motor Show and entered the European market in 2012. There is no word on any mechanical changes to this special edition, so expect it to be powered by the same 5.5-liter, 550 horsepower, 531 lb-ft twin-turbo V-8 and seven-speed automatic as the standard CLS63 AMG.
