If owning one of Mercedes-Benz’s AMG performance models isn’t lavish enough for you, you can now buy another Affalterbach-inspired novelty, but for a bit more than its land-bound namesake. AMG and Cigarette Racing have gotten together once again to show off another boat at the 2012 Miami Boat show. The last model was a 46-footer, but the new one stretches 50 feet from bow to stern.
Although it’s hard to make direct comparisons between the boat and the car that served as the basis of its inspiration, the upcoming C63 AMG Black Series, it’s clear the boat shows the same passion and appreciation for high-performance hardware. Interestingly, this special-edition take on Cigarette’s Marauder model isn’t powered by a Mercedes-Benz engine, but that’s not to say it’s lacking power. The latest AMG boat is propelled by two 9-liter V-8s sourced from Mercury Marine; combined, they produce close to a whopping 2700 horsepower.
Despite this astounding amount of power, Cigarette Racing claims the engines can run on regular pump gas, which is a good thing, since any mention of fuel consumption is conspicuously absent from the official AMG press release. Much like the price tag on the boat and the C63 Black Series itself, if you have to ask about the fuel consumption, you probably can’t afford the vehicle itself.
The black and white theme covers the inside and outside of the boat. As is the case with the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG, most of the interior upholstery is comprised of Alcantara, and accented by more than 100 anodized billet aluminum trim pieces.
