Hertz Supercars, a specialty division of the Hertz rental brand which allows customers to rent high-profile exotics, has added the McLaren 12 C Spider and Ferrari F12berlinetta to its European lineup. Now’s a good time to book your vacation.
The 616-hp 2013 McLaren 12C Spider is available at Hertz locations in the UK and Germany, among other options such as the Lamborghini LP570-4 and Maserati GranCabrio. You’ll have to travel to France for all 12 cylinders and 731 under the hood of Ferrari’s F12berlinetta, where Hertz also offers the Aston Martin Virage Volante and Lamborghini LP560 Spyder. Regardless, there’s no doubt that the most difficult part of your travel experience will be giving back the keys.
“We are delighted to introduce a number of new high end models to our Supercar range in Europe for our customers worldwide who want to enjoy a taste of the high life,” said Michel Taride, group president of Hertz International.“At Hertz we are determined to offer our Supercar customers a first class experience – whether they are car enthusiasts, wanting to land an important business deal, celebrating a special occasion, or simply desiring an unforgettable thrill.”
Hertz has also added a special-edition 2013 Ford Focus ST, dubbed the ST-H, to rental fleets in the Netherlands. The Ford Focus ST-H is clad in Hertz colors, sporting black paint with gold racing stripes and wheels, and a black interior fully loaded with Recaro race seats. Although it is mechanically identical to the stock Focus ST, packing the same 252-hp punch from its 2.0-liter turbo four, its dynamic looks are sure to turn heads. It’s available from just €90 per day, about $124.
Here in the grand old US of A, Hertz offers its customers a similarly customized ,2014 Ford Mustang GT the Hertz Penske GT, which Penske Racing helped specially modify. The Hertz Penske GT is part of the “Adrenaline” line of cars, while exotics like the Ferrari 430 Spider and Lamborghini Gallardo help make up Hertz’s “Dream Car” collection. Renting these cars isn’t cheap, though: The aforementioned Ferrari 430 Spider will set drivers back $1200 per day.
