The latest concept car confirmed for the 2008 Paris Motor Show is this three-door hatchback known as the Mazda Kiyora.
Yet another extension of the company’s nagare (or “flow”) design language, this is the first time it’s been used on a compact vehicle.; Mazda says the Kiyora rides upon an all-new lightweight platform designed to “pursue enhanced driving pleasure.”
In addition to that “zoom-zoom” feel, designers also aimed for an environmentally-clean vehicle.; The Kiyora, which means “clean and pure” in Japanese, uses a new direct-injection four-cylinder engine, coupled with a stop-start system.; Mazda claims the powertrain package allows the Kiyora to return good fuel economy and low CO2 emissions.
We’ll hopefully learn more about the Kiyora when we arrive at the Paris motor show in October.; Stay tuned to Automobile Magazine for the latest news on the Paris show.
