British tuner Mansory has chosen one of the most insane vehicles on the planet—the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6—as a starting point for its latest creation that’s called the Mansory 6×6. The Mansory upgrades to this six-wheeled, V-8-powered monster SUV give it more power, a slightly more menacing look, and more luxurious interior materials for a truly over-the-top package that’s sure to appeal to extreme buyers only.
Mansory’s most significant upgrades are to the G63 AMG’s 6.6-liter twin-turbo V-8 engine. In the standard car, this powerplant puts out 536 hp, but Mansory’s overhaul of this V-8 makes for an insane 828 hp and 737 lb-ft of torque thanks to a new exhaust system, cylinder head, crankshaft, and various upgrades to the pistons, connecting rods, and bearings. This should be plenty of power to motivate the four-ton 6×6 up to terrifying speeds far too easily.
This version of the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6 also has a new look up front, with various bits of carbon fiber trim, new headlights, and a prominent Mansory badge on the grille. The carbon fiber theme carries on into the interior, with a contrasting carbon-fiber look through that uses different leather, Alcantara, and wood materials for a so-called “flawless” cabin.
Strangely enough, Mansory is not the only tuner to get its hands on the wild G63 AMG 6×6. Brabus has also created its own version of the six-wheeler, although that model is short on power compared with the Mansory 6×6 because of its comparatively paltry 690 hp.
It’s no surprise that Mansory does not list a price for this extravagant vehicle, because it’s bound to carry a huge premium over the standard Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6’s already monstrous price of $525,595. Presumably, the Mansory package will be available as a retrofit to existing 6×6 SUVs, as Mercedes-Benz previously said it would only produce between 20 to 30 of these beasts. Regardless, the market for such outlandish vehicles can’t be very large.
