Lexus Reveals Interior of Detroit-Bound Concept

Lexus has released another photo — but no more information — of its concept car that will appear the Detroit auto show. The interior shot reveals a stylish design that Lexus says “hints at the new contemporary, upscale and uniquely Lexus design direction.”
This teaser photo shows an abundance of curving shapes and stitched leather. The center console appears to rise up to wrap around the driver, while the steering wheel and instrument binnacles protrude from the dashboard. The sinewy design elements are certainly a big change from current Lexus interiors.
Lexus has confirmed that the concept car was penned at its Calty design studio in California. Based on the aggressive front fascia revealed by an earlier teaser image, we expect that the Lexus concept will be some sort of sports car. Rumors suggest Lexus is developing two new performance-oriented vehicles, one front- and the other rear-wheel drive, both of which set to debut by 2014.
Expect more photos and information on the Lexus concept to trickle out ahead of the Detroit show in January.
