Lexus LF-A Race Car Images Released Before 24-hour Nürburgring Race Debut

Here are the official images of the two Lexus LF-A racersthat will compete inthis weekend’s24-hour Nürburgring endurance race.

Under the hood of these brutes is a V-10 engine making 500 hp horsepower, and under the full race livery is a carbon-fiber body. Lexus is keeping most of the other details about these 200+ mph cars a secret.

The cars will be raced by the Toyota-owned Gazoo Racing team. It hopes to repeat its class-winning form in the 24-hour race earlier in the year. The car will be driven by professional drivers, Toyota test drivers, dealers, and one very enigmatic driver known only as “Morizo.”

Lexus still has not confirmed whether or not the LF-A will ever go into production. From these shots of the racing version, though, we definitely give Lexus our approval to bring the LF-A supercar to market.
