Lexus Gives LFA Nurburgring Package $70,000 Price Tag, Reduces F Sport Pricing

You say you’re looking for the ultimate Lexus LFA? Lexus has you covered with its new Nürburgring Package, which includes a special carbon fiber body kit, beefier front and rear aerodynamics, 10-horsepower boost (to 562), dropped shift times (to 0.15 seconds), and new-style forged wheels. The only catch? It’ll cost you another $70,000 over the entry price of the LFA, bringing your total to $445,000. And that’s only if you choose not to spring for the optional $20,000 matte black paint job.

If that sounds like a hefty premium to you, keep in mind that buyers also get a little more exclusivity with the Nürburgring package — just 50 examples will be available. Still not convinced? The ultimate Japanese supercar will also include a free night’s stay at the Linder Congress and Motorsport hotel Nürburgring at the famed track itself (with private parking and a ride-along around the track), as well as a one-year annual pass to the Green Hell, admission to the Ring Werk amusement park, private training with a driving instructor and, wait for it, a Nürburgring-branded jacket for those cold early mornings at the track.

If you’re finding the LFA a little too pricey in general, you might be interested in Lexus’ reduced pricing program on F Sport accessories running from June 1 until July 31. Three different F Sport packages are included in the promotion, each one building on the previous package. The suspension package includes lowering springs, a rear chassis member brace, larger front and rear anti-sway bars on rear-wheel-drive models, and a larger rear anti-sway bar on all-wheel-drive models. The basic suspension package now costs $1450.

The second package includes the entire suspension kit, along with F Sport forged 19-inch wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires (225/35ZR19 front and 255/35R19 rear) for rear-wheel-drive models including the GS 350 and all rear-drive IS models. For the all-wheel-drive IS 250 sedan, F Sport forged 18-inch wheels with Yokohama Advan S.4. all-season tires are substituted. This package has been reduced in price to $4495.

The final package includes suspension, wheels, and tires, and adds larger brakes front and rear. The new six-piston front calipers and four-piston rear calipers clamp larger cross-drilled rotors – 14 inches and 13.6 inches in diameter, respectively. Low-dust performance pads are also included in a kit that is said to improve brake pedal feel and reduce fade. Total cost? $8995.
