Lexus Bringing Unknown Concept Car to Geneva

GS F and LF-C2 Concept make European debuts.

Although it’s keeping its plans for the 2015 Geneva auto show under wraps, Lexus is promising a world debut of a new concept car.

We think that the most likely possibility is that this concept is a new version of the Lexus LF-LC concept (pictured below) that is closer to production, since we heard that this high-performance Lexus coupe is currently in development. Alternatively, it could be some sort of crossover concept or hybrid, or even a wilder concept car that has no bearing on a future production Lexus. We’ll know for sure on when the new car debuts March 3.

The new concept will be shown alongside the 2016 Lexus GS F performance sedan, which made its first appearance at the Detroit auto show, as well as the Lexus LF-C2 concept, which originally debuted in Los Angeles. Both are arriving at European show floors for the first time.

Lexus also revealed the layout of its show space in a new photo. It’s likely that the concept car is hidden to the right-hand side of a screen showing an image of the LFA, possibly suggesting that the concept will be part of the brand’s F performance division.

Last year, Lexus unveiled the RC 350 F Sport and RC F GT3 racing concept. But Lexus has also been known to venture outside sports cars in Geneva, debuting the IS300h hybrid in 2013 and the revised RX in 2012.
