If you’re as tired of 2010 Ford Mustang teaser shots as we are, you’re in luck – come November 19, the wraps come off the pony car at the 2009 Los Angeles auto show, and we see the car in all its glory. Until then, we rely on the steady stream of shadowy images and spy photos to illustrate what you can expect.
Courtesy of Ford, the latest photo shows us a large chunk of the rear fascia on a 2010 Mustang GT. There’s not a whole lot we didn’t expect – the distinctive three-bar taillights now kick-up at its lower corners, echoing the form of the rear bumper fascia. We do like how the spoiler plays into the outer edges of the decklid, crafting a ‘ducktail’ appearance not unlike the 1969 and 1970 Mustang Sportsroof.
We’re betting the latter is a GT-only addition (or offered via a handful of different V-6 option packages), but we’ll know for sure on Wednesday, when the Mustang stampedes into the LA auto show. We’ll be there for the unveiling, so stay with Automobile Magazine for the latest on the 2010 Mustang and all the other happenings at the 2009 Los Angeles auto show.
