Following the debut of the facelifted Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 and two LP 570-4 Edizione Tecnica models at the Paris Motor Show last month, the Italian automaker revealed another member of the family at a very appropriate place. Lambo pulled the wraps off the 2013 Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo at the Blancpain Super Trofeo race series at the Navarra circuit.
The Super Trofeo version is more special though, as Lamborghini says it sees a 120-percent improvement in aerodynamics over its predecessor. In order to achieve that, Lamborghini reworked the body and added adjustable aerodynamic devices, including a 10-position rear wing. The brake ducts have also been revised for improved brake cooling, resulting in a 50-percent improvement.
Although the supercar maker has made significant upgrades to the exotic, it doesn’t stray far from its predecessor. It rides on the same chassis, and propels forward using the same 562-hp V-10 engine.
