Lamborghini Unleashes Aventador Pirelli Edition
Two-tone color theme gives the Aventador a new look.
Lamborghini is launching a limited-edition Aventador, which celebrates the brand's history with Pirelli tires. The two companies co-developed the special Lamborghini Aventador, which gets a number of unique design touches over the standard model and will arrive by early summer 2015.
The Lamborghini Aventador Pirelli Edition not only comes equipped with Pirelli tires like every other Lamborghini ever made, but it also features bespoke color themes. The car's two-tone exterior treatment allows buyers to choose either a matte or glossy black finish covering the roof of the car, paired with a variety of color options for the lower body. These include shades of white, black, red, and gray, all with sexier names like Giallo Spica, Rosso Mars, Grigio Liqueo, Bianco Canopus, and Nero Nemesis.
Under the hood, we see no changes from the standard Lamborghini Aventador. Powering the Aventador Pirelli Edition is a 6.5-liter V-12 engine with 691 hp, allowing it to hit 62 mph in just 2.9 seconds.
Just recently, Lamborghini introduced a special-edition Aventador for its 50th birthday, which included a bespoke interior, a new aerodynamically-optimized rear end, and 20 more horses. We don't know how many Aventador Pirelli Edition models will be made, but if it's anything like the 50th anniversary edition model it could be as few as 200 units worldwide.
