Lamborghini Announces 50th Anniversary Tour of Italy in 2013

If you’re fortunate enough to own one of the latter, Lamborghini is planning the experience of a lifetime if you’re willing to transport your car to Italy. The announcements came at the brand’s conference at this year’s Concorso Italiano as part of the Pebble Beach festivities. To mark the occasion, the brand has come up with a special 50th Anniversary logo, with the ’50’ rendered in a characteristically angular, up-swept style connoting the dynamism and innovation of the brand.

The Lamborghini 50th Anniversary Grand Tour will kick off in May 2013 in Milan, Italy’s capital of fashion, on May 7, with the destination of Forte dei Marmi. From there, the tour will go to Rome. From Rome, the tour goes to Bologna via Orvieto. Finally, on May 11, the tour will culminate in a grand celebration in Sant’Agata Bolognese, the birthplace and headquarters for Lamborghini. Participants in the celebration will be able to visit the Lamborghini historic museum, production facility and other attractions. The event is expected to be attended by hundreds of Lamborghini owners and enthusiasts from around the world.

Lamborghini has set up a website for the festivities,, where owners can get updated on the latest information on tour stops, attractions and arrival times. Lamborghini dealers and owners can begin registering for the tour beginning on September 20, 2012.

Lamborghini has also pledged 10 percent of the proceeds of sponsorship revenue from the event for restoration efforts for the Emilia-Romagna region, which was hit by earthquakes in May 2012, which damaged many historic buildings and institutions.
