Easter is just around the corner, which means it’s time once again for the Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah. As it does virtually every year, Jeep and Mopar have paired up to build a handful of custom concept vehicles designed to excite die-hard Jeep enthusiasts. Although we’ve yet to see the vehicles in their entirety, Chrysler did issue a brief sneak peek at what’s up and coming.
Although six vehicles are being prepped for this year’s Easter Jeep Safari, we only have teasers for two. The first, dubbed the Jeep Wrangler Slim, appears to be a bright red Wrangler two-door with black wheels (with red beadlocks), bumpers, and grille. The front bumper appears to be a custom-designed unit that flows up and into the front fenders, unlike those found on production Wrangler models.
Our other teaser image previews the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk II concept. As the name suggests, this is a new take on the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk theme (the first debuted as a concept at the 2012 Easter Jeep Safari, and ultimately became a limited-production model for the 2013 model year). The latest Trailhawk appears to again inject some attitude into the Grand Cherokee’s design, but with different tweaks. Instead of the previous black-on-white paint scheme, this SUV wears retina-searing red paint, black wheel flares, a matching grille surround, and five-spoke aluminum wheels.
Luckily, you won’t have to wait long to learn more about these two vehicle, or to see the remaining four Jeep concepts. We should have an opportunity to view these wild Jeeps in the flesh later this week and bring you the complete lowdown on each and every concept shortly afterward. Stay tuned.
