Every year around Easter, Jeep hosts an event in Moab, Utah called the Easter Jeep Safari. This off-road driving rally gives Jeep an opportunity to unveil a host of special edition Jeep concepts, and this year Jeep is previewing two of the six vehicles that will debut in Moab: the Jeep Wrangler MOJO and the Jeep Cherokee Dakar.
This marks the first time that a special version of the new 2014 Jeep Cherokee will be making an appearance at the Easter Jeep Safari, and the preview sketch of the Cherokee Dakar looks menacing thanks to its red and grey color scheme. The vehicle looks to be based on the standard Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk, but with huge off-road tires, a lifted suspension, and styling touches like a red accent line surrounding the side windows and red wheel inserts.
The Jeep Wrangler MOJO takes a more in-your-face approach with bright orange paint and black accents—maybe Jeep confused Easter with Halloween. Nevertheless, it should also feature larger off-road tires, a modified suspension, and other off-road equipment like a front winch.
Look for more information to come about these two Jeep concepts, along with the reveal of the four other Jeep special concepts in Moab. The 2014 Easter Jeep Safari will take place April 12-20.
At last year’s Easter Safari, Jeep also revealed modified versions of the Wrangler and Grand Cherokee.
