Is the 2009 BMW Neiman Marcus 7 Series The Ultimate Christmas Machine?

‘Tis the season to buy a status symbol. Every year Neiman Marcus sells a top of the line car in their annual holiday shopping catalog, and this year, it’s a limited edition of the 2009 BMW 7-Series.

The machine (which the catalog says you will “crave uncontrollably”) is equipped with a 4.4-liter V-8 engine that generates 400hp and 450 pounds per foot of torque. It also features active roll stabilization, integral active steering, and rear- and side-view cameras, to name a few of the vehicle’s many bells and whistles. Setting the Neiman Marcus model apart from “lesser” 7-series cars is a unique iridescent black paint, 19-inch alloy wheels, and an interior trimmed in champagne Merino leather.

Coupled with the purchase of the “best automotive experience of your life” is a trip to Europe, offered in part to allow customers to meet their car’s designers. Gourmet meals and a luxury hotel are included, as is a business-class Lufthansa flight that stops in the French Riviera and Munich.

To commemorate 31 years of Neiman Marcus, only 31 of these limited edition vehicles will be made. The car is priced at $160,000 – so why delay your holiday shopping?
