Hyundai Veloster Turbo With 370 HP Featured In SEMA Show

A Hyundai Veloster Turbo tuner with 370 hp will be on display at the 2013 SEMA show.

Hyundai is pulling out all the stops for the 2013 SEMA show in Las Vegas. Partnering with Fox Marketing Cars, Hyundai has managed to squeeze 370 hp out of the Hyundai Veloster Turbo’s 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder. Combined with a sportier appearance package and attractive two-tone paint, this fully-loaded performance tuner debuts in two weeks’ time at Hyundai’s SEMA exhibit.

With a power output significantly surpassing that of aftermarket supplier EGR Group’s striking Hyundai Veloster Turbo, Fox Marketing has made an impressive litany of performance upgrades to Hyundai’s hot hatch. Custom turbo upgrades come from 845 Motorsport and BorgWarner, with an aluminum cold air intake and front-mounted intercooler as well. A SeolfulRacing engine computer, an AEM water/methanol injection system, and 2.5-inch cat-back exhaust are also in the mix.

Keeping the Hyundai Veloster Turbo taut and responsive is a well-equipped chassis, featuring ImportShark bracing, UNIQ Performance strut brace, and ARK Performance coil-over suspension. Interior upgrades have been attended to by Takata, adding racing seats and four-point harnesses. WP Pro EX6 6-piston brake calipers with carbon-fiber ducting and 13.6-inch wavy-cut rotors improve stopping performance.

Power will be a big focus for Hyundai this year, as Fox Marketing’s Hyundai Veloster Turbo will join Bisimoto’s 1000-hp Hyundai Genesis Coupe on the showroom floor in Las Vegas. Other tuners such as the Hyundai Genesis Coupe JP Edition and 4.0-liter ARK Performance Genesis Coupe will also be on view.
