The overhauled 2012 Honda CR-V went on sale nationwide yesterday. Although prices are, on average, $181 higher than last year’s model, Honda claims the 2012 model’s equipment and package revisions allows buyers to get far more for their money.
Pricing for the base LX with front-wheel drive starts at $23,105 (includes $810 destination fee) while the top EX-L model with all-wheel drive and leather seats starts to $29,805. But perhaps the best news is that the price for the EX-L with Navigation dropped down $300, with the front-wheel drive trim level starting at $30,605.
Honda says it added as much as $1000 worth of standard features to the crossover, including an easier fold-down 60/40 split rear seat and an SMS text messaging dictation function. Power has also increased to 185 hp and 163 lf-ft or torque, while fuel economy also improves, picking up another 3 mpg highway on 2WD and AWD models and 1-2 mpg city, respectively.
