Honda CR-V Unseats Ford Escape as Best-Selling Compact Crossover in October

The Honda CR-V managed to outsell the Ford Escape by less than 900 units in October, taking the compact crossover crown with 20,295 examples sold. Bumped down to second, the Escape was good for 19,832 units sold, while the Chevrolet Equinox remained steady with the bronze, selling 15,387 CUVS.

Sales for the Nissan Rogue in October also dropped compared to September (12,106), however, the crossover stayed in fifth with 8436 sold. The 5309 Subaru Foresters sold allowed it to stay in seventh place, though the Crosstrek might soon steal its thunder: after being on sale for one month, 1735 of the new CUVs have been sold. A total of 3778 Mazda CX-5s were sold, allowing it to swap places with the ninth-place Hyundai Tucson (3451 copies) by just 327 units.
