While we’ve become familiar with the 2014 Range Rover Sport in advance of its New York auto show debut, we haven’t seen its interior, until now. The automaker has released a new teaser video that gives us a glimpse inside.
As we saw in previous spy shots and in the most recent leaked image of the SUV fully uncovered, the 2014 Range Rover Sport will blend styling cues from the new Range Rover and the Evoque on the outside. The video shows it’s much of the same story for the interior, as quick flashes of the Sport’s clean lines, high-positioned push-start button, and digital instrument cluster remind us of details we’ve seen in the flagship Range Rover SUV. We can also make out the top of what appears to be a cleaned-up touch-screen interface. If the 2014 Range Rover Sport loses nearly as much weight as the regular Range Rover, expect markedly improved straight-line performance and fuel economy.
The video further highlights the new Sport’s headlights, side vents, and integrated rear spoiler, all of which we’ll see in the flesh when it’s revealed at the upcoming New York Auto Show. Until then, read our First Drive of the full-sized Range Rover here to get an idea of what we can expect from the new Range Rover Sport.
