Geneva 2013 Teasers: Rakish Rolls-Royce Wraith, Quirky Toyota i-Road

More teasers before Geneva debuts.

With the 2013 Geneva Motor Show just a week away, we’ve had more and more looks at the upcoming models that will debut at the Swiss show. The two cars in question include the new Wraith coupe from Rolls-Royce and the pod-like Toyota i-Road Concept.

We’ve already reported extensively on the Rolls-Royce Wraith. The Ghost-based two-door is expected to share the sedan’s twin-turbocharged V-12 engine; however, word is that the Wraith will have the 12-cylinder cranked up to 600 hp or more, rather than “only” the 563 hp and 575 lb-ft of torque found in the Ghost. This latest teaser doesn’t show us much we didn’t already know, either – the Wraith will have a rakish roofline and a similar, L-shaped character line on the door to the Phantom Coupe. Expect to know the full details next week once the car premieres.

Also making its debut at the Geneva show is the Toyota i-Road Concept. The video below teases us with a series of glimpses of the pod-like concept car. Not much is known about the i-Road besides the fact that it will be “fun, compact, and emissions-free.” From what we can see, the two-seater will probably be in the same vein as the Chevrolet EN-V Concept, which is more of a personal, urban commuting thing than a true car. For those who are looking for something a little more traditional motoring on Toyota’s Geneva stand, the automaker will also show off a convertible version of the GT 86 sports coupe, called the FT 86 Open concept.
