To celebrate 10 years of selling cars and the production of its 100th road car, Koenigsegg has built the Agera S Hundra. The suffix is Swedish for “hundred.” Koenigsegg actually first shipped vehicles to customers in 2002, and started production of the Hundra last September, but as the car wasn’t ready until now, the Geneva Motor Show was apparently acceptable for the company’s “10th” anniversary.
The Hundra is a one-off and was built for a private, anonymous collector described by Koenigsegg as “excited.” Based on the standard Agera S (pictured below), the car benefits from 24-carat gold leaf inlays, contrasting with the black of the car’s exposed carbon fiber. The body and yes, even the wheels, are made from the lightweight material.
The Agera S uses a Koenigsegg-built twin-turbo 5.0-liter V-8 engine good for 1030 hp and 811 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels by way of a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The engine weighs only 434 pounds and the entire car has a curb weight of 3120 pounds, giving a claimed 0-to-62-mph time of just 2.8 seconds.
