PickupTrucks.com has some very clear photos of the new 6.2-liter V-8 engine Ford plans to offer in the 2010 Raptor F-150 as well as the 2011 Super Duty line.
We still don’t have many details on the Boss engine, but we’re expecting output around 400 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque. PickupTrucks.com suggests the Boss engine will replace the V-10 option in the Super Duty line and Ford has already confirmed the engine will first come to market in the Raptor later this year. The Raptor is planned to hit the market with only the 5.4-liter V-8 and add the 6.2-liter engine several months later.
There’s no way to know if this same engine was hiding under the hood of the 2011 Ford Super Duty Tom Ludwick spied over the weekend. Head over to PickupTruck.com to see the photo if you’re in the mood for a sneak peek for the engine.
