Ferrari’s not quite ready to show you the new replacement for the Ferrari 599 GTB quite yet, but it appears someone is. GTspirit ran these photos of the new 2013 Ferrari F620GT earlier this morning, giving us a no-holds-barred look at what the new model will look like.
The matte-silver vehicle shown here is allegedly a full-size wooden model, but it echoes the lines we’ve seen teased in previous Ferrari-sanctioned marketing efforts. The Ferrari 599 replacement appears to meld the 599’s shape with design elements from the California, FF, and 458 Italia.
We previously reported that the Ferrari F620GT may be powered by a 700-horsepower 7.3-liter V-12 backed by Ferrari’s rear-mounted, seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. But GTspirit is saying the new car will be powered by a smaller 6.3-liter V-12 packing 740 horsepower. Regardless, either option could make the Ferrari F620GT more powerful than the outgoing 599 — a claim the automaker recently boasted.
We will have more details at the car’s official unveiling ahead of the Geneva Motor Show on February 29, 2012. Stay with Automobile Magazine for the latest details on the 2013 Ferrari F620.
