What’s the fastest three-wheeler on ice? If you guessed a Morgan 3 Wheeler, you’re correct. The first of the new Morgan 3 Wheelers was delivered to Swedish dealer Classics & Sportscarcentre and taken to its limits at Orsa Lake last month.
The new Morgan 3 Wheeler posted a top speed 149 kmh (92.6 mph) and the highest average speed for the flying kilometer at 144 km/h (89.5 mph)—good to take the world record as the fastest three-wheeler on ice, Morgan claims. But the win was not achieved without difficulty. Temperatures for the weekend were above freezing, resulting in slush and puddles on top of the ice. The M3W team believes a faster time is possible on a colder, smoother surface.
The land speed ice record setting video is focused on the driver and the view ahead so we’ve included this video showing the driver of a new 1100-pound Morgan 3 Wheeler having some fun.
