Feature Flicks: Automotive.com Teaches Cars 101

We throw a lot of technical terms around our blog posts, but what if you’d like to take (or teach someone) a little refresher course? Enter our sister site, Automotive.com, and its new video series “Cars Simplified.”

Today we bring you the first three videos of the series. The first is a quick rundown of the different octane levels you see at the pump and how they impact engine performance (and your wallet). The second looks at some of the passive and active safety features we have on modern cars like anti-lock brakes, airbags, and adaptive/radar-guided cruise control. The third is a quick rundown on what to do when your car starts spilling fluids all over your driveway. (Hint: don’t taste any of them.)

Take a look at the three videos below, and then let us know what you think. Better yet, share them with some less car-oriented friends, and let us know what other automotive 101 topics you think A.com should cover in the future.
