The Ford F-150 SVT Raptor is one of the most impressive trucks on the market, purpose-built for climbing rocks and attacking sand dunes. Race driver and Top Gear personality Tanner Foust, however, had another idea in mind: take the performance-tuned pickup for a lap around Germany’s famed Nürburgring race track.
The Raptor isn’t available in Germany, and not surprisingly lots of heads turned once Foust arrived at the ‘Ring with the big, blue, SuperCrew truck. The video shows Foust and the Raptor towering over a sea of sports cars before attacking the challenging, 12.9-mile track. Overall, the Raptor looks completely out of place as it leans and howls through the corners and jumps over curbs.
Foust said one of his goals was to lap a Porsche, and he claims to have accomplished that goal. Additionally, he posted a lap time of about 9:48 and we have a good feeling that Raptor record will stand for a long time, if not forever.
