Feature Flick: SRT Viper GTS-R on the Track for Test Laps

Last month we caught a video of a 2013 SRT Viper GTS-R going through a shakedown run at the Carolina Motorsports Park. Now the folks at SRT have released new footage of its racecar testing, this time at the Virginia International Raceway.

The video is barely 40 seconds long, but it doesn’t waste any time showing the action. The GTS-R attacks S-turns at insane speeds and makes it look easy. Thankfully, the short clip doesn’t include hokey background music so you can hear the Viper’s booming 8.4-liter V-10 loud and clear.

We’ve also included last month’s video, which is a bit longer and includes footage from within the cabin. The GTS-R marks the Viper’s return to motorsports, including the American Le Mans series. If past generations of the Viper are any indication, this is just the beginning of what should be an impressive motorsports run for SRT’s newest racer.
