Feature Flick: Snowkhana 2 Video is Ford of Europe’s Animated Christmas Card

If you’re a fan of Ford and motorsports, you’ve probably seen Ken Block’s Gymkhana videos. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but when that imitation is in the form of stop-gap animation, it’s both endearingly cute and awesome. Following up on last year’s Snowkhana 1, “Snowkhana 2” brings the action indoors under the Christmas tree, with a full cast of familiar toy characters.

The video starts out with the toy Fiesta driving out of its gift box, and proceeding to do a cotton-ball burnout, then driving across the hardwood floor. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle’s Raphael then overturns a basket of toys, freeing the toys to form a stunt course, with a Christmas card ramp, and bravely laying themselves down for the stunt jump.

A bowl of Brussels sprouts observes the stunt, and soon, the Fiesta is joined by a vintage Mustang in the smoke-making duties, and a non-sequitur contest with an opera-singing Santa, with Darth Vader, and a Lego Superman as one of the celebrity judges. The video ends with the Fiesta doing donuts on an iPad before the toys return to their basket, and the Fiesta returns to its gift box. Check out this creative, entertaining video below.
