Feature Flick: Scion TC Release Series 7.0 — The Gods Will It

Special editions by name usually have something, you know, special about them. While many special editions can claim more horsepower, some go-fast bits, or maybe even exclusivity over standard models, how many can claim they were crafted by the Gods? The lightning-yellow Scion TC Release Series 7.0 is the only one that can, if Scion’s new ad campaign featuring Greek God Zeus is to be believed. But does just being crafted by the will of God really make it special enough to be a special edition?

Scion’s new commercials say yes, being crafted by the God of Gods is more than enough to warrant a special edition. The Scion tC Release Series 7.0 keeps with Scion’s tradition of offering a special edition every year (the 7.0 being the seventh special edition, or release series tC). Like the tC Release Series’ 1.0-6.0, 7.0 just has a few extra goodies over the standard model. Aside from its lightning-yellow paint job, the Release Series 7.0 gets the usual obligatory tuner bling such as a red push button starter, a TRD body kit, and a honeycomb grille. The $21,625 special edition tC will be limited to just 2200 examples.

While the latest limited-edition tC probably won’t garner much enthusiast attention, the commercials are funny enough to be worth a look. Check it out and the entertaining Zeus on the set videos below.
