Feature Flick: Nissan Shows How The 2013 Sentra Can Improve Your Dating Life

We wouldn’t normally suggest taking the advice of automakers when it comes to dating, but Nissan has released a series of web videos demonstrating how its new 2013 Sentra can help hapless bachelor Jeff find love.
The video series begins with Olympic gold medalist Ryan Lochte advising viewers that, even if they can’t win a gold medal in an Olympic swimming pool, “You can be gold in the all-new Nissan Sentra.” He’s quickly joined by a “suave narrator” who continues to offer tips through the rest of the video series.
There are five videos in the “Date Better With Sentra” series that follow the mistakes Jeff makes in trying to woo Felicia. After each of Jeff’s errors, the aforementioned narrator steps in to explain how driving a 2013 Nissan Sentra could have improved the date. While we’re skeptical that a continuously variable transmission can help a bumbling bachelor, it’s a funny way to advertise the new Sentra’s key features.
Dedicated fans who watch all six of the videos shown below can then submit their script for the final episode, which shows how the love story between Jeff and Felicia ends — 30 percent of the episode must focus on the 2013 Nissan Sentra. The winning entry will earn the writer a trip for two to Los Angeles and a two-night stay at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel used for filming the “Date Better” series. A free 2013 Nissan Sentra, unfortunately, is not up for grabs.
