Theatrical trailer number two for Paramount Pictures’ Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol has landed online, and once again, the preview for the blockbuster film prominently features the BMW Vision EfficientDynamics Concept, among other BMW products. Though not quite as thrilling without the Eminem soundtrack, the second trailer shows a few more action shots of the Vision EfficientDynamics, the concept that will eventually spawn the BMW i8.
The futuristic BMW plays merely a supporting role in the trailer, sharing the screen with film stars Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, and Simon Pegg. Still, the Vision EfficientDynamics makes its presence known, seen making a getaway through a narrow street, and even showing off some of its interior. Though the concept likely showcases some of its real-life tech features, there’s at least a bit of movie magic at work in the trailer with the touch-interface windshield. A 6 Series convertible is also featured, though that BMW is sacrificed in a brutal head-on crash with another vehicle.
BMW says that its inclusion in Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, the fourth installment in the Mission: Impossible franchise, will officially mark the brand’s return to Hollywood when the film hits theaters this December.
