Feature Flick: Latest Downshift Explores Isle of Man in Subaru BRZ

This episode of The Downshift was supposed to feature coverage of racing from the Isle of Man TT motorcycle competition, but event organizers canceled the race following unanticipated rain and fog. Instead, our own Jason Cammisa takes advantage of the Subaru BRZ on the island’s scenic roads — which don’t have a speed limit.

After a brief history lesson of the island and the race, Cammisa samples some of the best roads the Isle of Man has to offer at the helm of a BRZ. Next, Cammisa hops into the passenger seat of a rally-prepped BRZ piloted by Mark Higgins, the brother of Subaru rally driver David Higgins, and Isle of Man native who last summer broke the four-wheel record for fastest lap around the TT circuit behind the wheel of a stock Impreza WRX STI sedan.
