The Ford Fiesta ST may have a smaller stature and fewer horsepower than its bigger brother, the Focus ST. No worries: rally star Ken Block borrowed a closed ice rink in Budapest to show that the Fiesta ST is probably no less fun to drive, and we’ve got the video to prove it.
The ice rink in question in the capital city of Hungary, although it didn’t appear to have any ice on it. No worries: Ford threw a giant puddle in the middle of it, set up a few cones, and sent Block and friends around it. As you might expect from Ken Block, there’s liberal use of the handbrake, plenty of tire squeal, and his signature move, the “sliding over fluorescent light bulbs.”
And why wouldn’t there be lots of fun? The 2014 Ford Fiesta ST has 197 hp and 214 lb-ft of torque, sent through a six-speed manual transmission to the front wheels. The whole car weighs just 2754 pounds, some 469 pounds less than the larger Focus ST.
