John Heinricy, former director of GM Performance, was instrumental in the development of the C4 and C5 Corvettes, and in this Feature Flick he drives the last special edition C6 model — the Corvette 427. After his drive, Heinricy speculates about what may be in store for the 2014 Corvette.
The 505-hp 7.0-liter LS7 engine in the Corvette 427 is Heinricy’s favorite GM small-block engine, because it provides lots of power in a lightweight compact package. After driving the Corvette 427, he discusses the direction SRT took with the new Viper, and speculates on new engine technologies GM may have in store for the upcoming C7 Corvette.
