The Lexus LFA supercar is new to the racing scene, but former F1 driver and double LeMans winner Alex Wurz isn’t. Watch as the racing pro takes the Lexus LFA to the track at Estoril to find out if the new Lexus performance giant lives up to his supercar standards in the video below.
Being a seasoned professional driver, Wurz is no stranger to super go-fast cars, and now that he’s been confirmed as a Toyota Motorsports driver for the 24 Hours of LeMans in 2012, it’s only appropriate he receive a formal introduction to Lexus’ performance flagship. It seems to get off to a great start as Wurz reminisces about his F1 days as soon as he drives the LFA onto the pavement, commenting on how much he likes its “super aggressive look.”
But that’s not all he likes. Wurz reports the LFA drives smooth, which gives him a sense of control, especially when pulling into a corner because the LFA “literally just wants to turn in.” He continues to weigh in on other factors, but we’ll spare you the details and let you find out for yourself if the Lexus LFA contains all the key ingredients needed to make a supercar from someone who knows supercars all too well.
