Most cautious car owners would like to know that when they lend their ride to a friend, it’ll come back in the same condition. Ford lent a bunch of its 2013 Focus ST hot hatches to racers like Tanner Foust, Ken Block, and Vaughn Gittin Jr., the cars didn’t come back in tip-top shape, and we have the video to see how the wear and tear got there.
Today’s Feature Flick is a one-minute teaser for the upcoming video series, titled ST Sessions, which paired Ford’s newest sports car with drivers from drift, rally, and other racing venues. Along the way, Ford’s crew pitted the Focus ST against competitors like the Mazdaspeed 3, Volkswagen GTI, Honda Civic Si, Subaru Impreza WRX, and one wildcard: the BMW M3 coupe.
As you’d expect from a YouTube series dedicated to pitting a 252-horse Focus ST hatchback against the best and brightest affordable sports cars — and onethat relies on professional hoons to drive the cars — the video previews all sorts of gasoline-powered tomfoolery. We’ll see exactly what Ford and its drivers are up to when the series launches on July 31st.
Check out the video below and let us know if you’re excited for the arrival of the Focus ST and the first ST Session videos.
