Namba says the low and wide hexagonal grille and hawk-eye headlights hint at the power capability and stability of the WRX, while the requisite hood scoop and lower bumper intake represent turbocharged performance. Not all of the boy racer looks have been abandoned, as the front and rear fender flares return in a modern design that showcase 20-inch wheels.
A coupe-like profile accentuated by a carbon fiber roof hints at the speed and agility of the WRX concept, Namba says. Around back, the hexagonal shape returns on the sharp edge of the trunk and the wide taillights again hint at stability and low center of gravity. The fluorescent accents against the WR Blue III paint “oozes pure performance.”
