Feature Flick: Chevrolet Celebrates National Donut Day with a ZL1

Mmm...Camaro donuts.

“Mmm, donuts,” is one of Homer Simpson’s most recognized lines. While many of us have celebrated National Donut Day, which falls on June 7, Chevrolet may have taken the, uh, not-donut pastry for the best way to enjoy donuts: with a Camaro ZL1.

To celebrate the day commemorating the circular, be-holed, sugary confections, Chevrolet rolled out a black 2013 Camaro ZL1 coupe and filmed it making donuts. Of course, these were of the smoky, burnt-rubber variety on pavement, rather than the sprinkle-topped type you’d find at the local bakery. With the ZL1’s supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 pumping out a healthy 580 hp and 556 lb-ft of torque, Chevy had now problem when it came time to make the donuts. We bet the ZL1’s donuts smelled pretty good, too.

Grab a donut (or two) and enjoy the 35-second clip of the Camaro ZL1 making donuts below.
