Feature Flick: BMW Keeps Daydreamers’ Heads in the Right Places

A funny new BMW ad takes a literal approach to keeping your head in the right place, showing what happens when one man’s head wanders off to a tropical beach resort. His head even visits a nude beach, ultimately making this video NSFW, thanks to two bare female behinds.

A man’s disembodied head appears to be enjoying time on a tropical getaway. He, err his head, goes snorkeling, gets a head massage, and visits a nude beach before getting a very rude awakening. Thanks to BMW’s lane departure warning system, the man snaps back to reality and avoids drifting out of his lane any further.

BMW’s lane departure warning system is available as part of the Driver Assistance Package on the 2012 328i for $1100. Active Blind Spot Detection is also a part of the package on the 328i, while the same package in the 2012 528i adds automatic high beams and costs $1350. When the system senses a driver has drifted out of the lane, the wheel vibrates and a visual warning display also lights up. It can be easy to doze off behind the wheel, and BMW’s new ad is a memorable way of demonstrating that.
