Feature Flick: Behind the Scenes of the Greatest Drag Race 2

After Motor Trend debuted its second “World’s Greatest Drag Race,” we were impressed. But just what went into orchestrating the epic 11-car sprint? Jessi Lang has the scoop in this episode of Wide Open Throttle.
The team took to the former Marine base El Toro in Orange County, California for the dream-come-true drag race. However, as Lang points out, El Toro isn’t quite perfect – during last year’s race, MT managed to break 11 windshields due to rocks on the runway. This year, the cars all had appliques applied to their windshields to protect against rocks and then were washed, gassed, and lined up to race.
This behind-the-scenes video gives us a little treat: not only do we have the visual feast of all 11 cars storming down the El Toro runway; we’re also treated to the vociferous aural delight of hearing all of the cars without any added soundtrack. The engines featured range from the 691-hp V-12-powered Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 to the Subaru BRZ with its 200-hp I-4 and everything in between.
Make sure to take a look and a listen to the video below, and let us know which car here has your favorite exhaust sound.
