Feature Flick: Aston Martin Drops New V12 Vantage Video

Aston Martin’s V12 Vantage won’t arrive stateside until the fourth quarter of 2010, but until then, you can ogle Aston’s second-fastest model blitzing its way around a closed road course in this new video.

The premise of stuffing a 510-horsepower, 6.0-liter V-12 into the compact Vantage is akin to the formula used when creating the first muscle cars — but in this case, the end product can actually tackle a tight corner. Aston first toyed with the idea of a V12 Vantage three years ago, and after receiving considerable interest from the buying public, the car became an official member production model.

If you can’t wait until later this year to hear a V12 Vantage in person, we’d recommend checking out this video. In addition to some live shots of the production car, the video also showcases the V12 Vantage’s racing counterpart working its way around the Nürburgring. If there’s a better sound than a straight-piped V-12, we haven’t found it…
