Feature Flick: 2014 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Edition 507 Wagon

An automotive unicorn in more ways than one.

There are plenty of interesting cars that we don’t get here in the U.S., but this 2014 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Edition 507 Wagon may be one of the most desirable combinations of performance, practicality, and luxury in the world.

In this episode of Ignition, host Jonny Lieberman heads to Germany to take on what he calls the unicorn of the automotive world. On roads around the mystical Black Forest, Lieberman explains how the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG 507 Wagon is a truly special machine, from its monstrous power and precise handling to its wagon body style.

The Edition 507 name denotes the 507 hp of the 6.2-liter V-8, an upgrade from the already powerful 451 hp of the standard C63 AMG. After marveling at the car’s linear steering and distinctive exhaust note on twisting roads, Lieberman takes the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Edition 507 Wagon out on the autobahn, where he reveals that this special wagon can go beyond its 174mph speed limiter as he reaches more than 180 mph until traffic forces him to slow down in a hurry.

In the U.S., the 2014 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG is available in sedan and coupe models only, with the sedan starting at $62,405 with destination. Sadly, no C-Class wagon of any kind is available here, but check out the video below to pine away at the sights and sounds of the C63 AMG Edition 507 wagon.
