Read Marc Noordeloos’s comments on driving the 2008 Land Rover LR2.
I wasn’t too impressed with the LR2 when I drove it last year. It lacks interior space, the steering is too quick off center, and the whole package is quite expensive. I still don’t think the LR2 is as good of a Land Rover as its larger and more expensive siblings but my drive last night did raise my respect for the mini-me Brit a bit. The seating position, controls, and overall ride and handling all feel very Land Rover. It offers good traction and feels a little bit more special going down the road than some of the other small SUVs. Still, I would much rather have a station wagon than any small SUV.
