Citroen Celebrates 100,000th DS3 With…Paisley Flowered Roof Decor?

Citroën‘s all too happy to celebrate the popularity of its small DS3 hatchback, but to honor the 100,000th order, the French automaker is going a little more floral than festive.

The stylish DS3, the first model to debut from the company’s revived DS line back in March 2010, has since has reached its 100,000th order. In honor of its achievement, Citroën created a weird new shade for the roof that screams flower power — or, perhaps, Barbie. A bright flowery fuchsia roof accent is now available to crown the DS3, complete with matching mirror housings, wheel centers, fascia strip and shift knob.

The DS3 is popularly known for its bold styling, with color-contrasted roofs and blacked-out pillars, much like the Mini. Cool-looking shark-fin accents on the DS3’s B-pillar differentiate the two, and buyers can customize their DS3’s to their liking with a variety of decorative roof colors.

We’re still unsure who would want to splash a dab of fuscia on their DS3, but hey: Perhaps it adds a certain je-ne-sais-quoi
