Built for Super Speed: Miniature Racer Tops 600 MPH Scale Speed

Hot Wheels has created yet another toy that is guaranteed to bring out the inner kid in all of us. Nitro Speeders are the fastest remote control cars yet, capable of launching forward at a scale speed of 600 mph in less than a second.

The pocket-size racer’s actual top speed is 8.3 mph, but because it measures less than two inches in length and less than a quarter-inch wide, that’s the equivalent of a normal car doing 600 mph. The Nitro Speeders’ carrying case is likewise miniscule, and doubles as the remote control and charger, making it the coolest portable toy for any kid — or adult.

Hot Wheels crammed proportionate steering and acceleration into the Nitro Speeders, and because of its diminutive size and speed, the micro car can whiz through the vertical loops on any Hot Wheels stunt tracks.

Chevrolet and Ford enthusiasts alike can enjoy these toys, as there are models styled like a supercharged Camaro, Ford Mustang GT, and even Ken Block’s Gymkhana-drifting Ford Fiesta rally car.  Just as we’d love to take these real cars for a spin, we can’t wait to get our hands on the Nitro Speeders.Like any driver would take these actual cars out to play on an open space, the same goes for the Nitro Speeders. Each one costs about $30.
